“K” is for Kite (& also for Kangaroo)!

I am on a roll! I finished “I”, “J” & “K” in just 4 days, please don’t expect this level of speed to continue!

As part of my “A” to “Z” Knitting Challenge, I chose to knit a kite for K but I wasn’t sure what type of critter to use for my kite flyer, and then I received a commission from a friend to design a kangaroo! Perfect timing!!

Just for fun, here are some other knitted critters enjoying the kite!

I enjoyed designing and knitting the kangaroo so much that I have decided to make it available in my stores as one of my patterns for sale. I will be posting the pattern in the next couple of weeks!

“J” is for Jewelry Box!

Jewelry Box

The next entry for my “A” to “Z” Knitting Challenge, “J” is for Jewelry Box, is complete!  I made a really lucky find for this one! This little heart shaped jewelry box was a tremendous bargain at my local thrift store and makes the ideal platform for a knitted decoration as well as the perfect storage place for some of my knitted earrings from “E” is for Earring!

Only three more to go and I am half way through the challenge list, actually much faster than I expected! I will be posting “K” is for Kite this weekend, so stay tuned!

“A” to “Z” Knitting Challenge – C is for Cowl

C is for Cowl, and C is also for complete! The next item in my “A” to “Z” Knitting Challenge can be crossed off the list!

I really love this lace pattern and it is much simpler to knit than it looks. I am looking forward to knitting it in some other yarns as well, possibly a variegated next time.  It is the perfect length and so comfortable to wear!
