Holiday Wreaths

Just finished a new wreath for the upcoming craft show!  I don’t  know about you, but I have such a difficult time finding affordable wreath forms, but I have found a wonderful, extremely affordable solution!

I found these foam sticks at the dollar store in three different sizes. Just hot glue and duct tape the ends together to form a ring and cover in a strip of knitting or fabric and you have the perfect wreath for decorating!!

The sticks can be cut easily too, so all sorts of sizes can be created easily. In the pictures below, the cardinal was made using the very thin sticks and is only about 3 inches across; the turquoise and orange wreath was made using 1 and 1/2 of the thickest sticks and is about 10 inches across; and the white wreath at the top of the post was made using the middle size and is about 9 inches across!  So instead of paying anywhere from $8 to $15 for a wreath form, each one costs only about 25 cents!!!! Granted, they are not as sturdy as an extruded styrofoam form, but if you are using fairly light materials, it works like a dream.
